The vasques fit great and have a very good design but the last two pairs seem to be made of cheaper materials both the soles and the leather uppers seem to wear out quickly. I have a wide foot and used to wear vasque sundowners in their wide sizes. It s a good boot merging old and new concepts to create a comfortable and durable hiking and trekking boot.

A full grain one piece leather upper makes this waterproof boot as attractive as it is durable. They forgo quantity for quality with the knowledge that the boots they craft are no better than the hands that create them. Personal experiences with the boots actually exceeded expectations particularly in regards to comfort and durability and i ve certainly found myself wearing them both off and on the hill. The danner mountain light ii seems to be a good boot but not a great boot.

They pay attention to details. This is the most comfortable boot i ve tested and it keeps getting more comfortable the longer i use it. Conclusion danner describe the mountain light as being for the modern explorer. At danner they are craftsmen.
